Gary Johnson is probably my new-favorite presidential candidate. So, if you could take a moment to at least look at his points of view, it’d be appreciated even if you’re not into politics.
“Which might have something to do with his response to the Family Leader’s ‘Marriage Vow’ pledge, a social-conservatism manifesto that Michele Bachmann and several other of his rivals jumped to sign. ‘In one concise document,’ Gary said in a campaign statement, ‘they manage to condemn gays, single parents, single individuals, divorcees, Muslims, gays in the military, unmarried couples, women who choose to have abortions, and everyone else who doesn’t fit into a Norman Rockwell painting.’”
Gary Johnson Standpoints:
- pro-gay (for lack of a better word)
- pro-choice
- pro-immigration
- different border controls, allow ‘aliens’ with a work visa in order to help the economy
- slash federal budget by 43%
- eliminate Department of Education and give all but 43% of that to the states. (“this whole idea that Washington knows best? that’s why we’re bankrupt.”)
- bring troops home, especially from peaceful countries
- fair tax (abolish IRS, tax on consumption, NOT income.)
- rational drug policy

He doesn’t “fit the script” (as he said, “How successful has any script been?”) But, because of him not fitting the script, he is excluded from candidate debates on major media outlets and attention isn’t being given to him.
